The tradition continues! This May, Durant transforms into a hub of excitement as we welcome back the annual Magnolia Festival of Oklahoma. Whether you’re a lifelong resident or a first-time visitor, this festival offers a unique blend of Southern hospitality, Choctaw culture, and modern-day family fun.

What to Expect This Year: Located at the Choctaw Event Center, the festival kicks off on Thursday, May 28, 2026, and runs through Saturday, May 30. Here are a few highlights you won't want to miss:

• Family Fun & Thrills: The carnival is back with rides, games, and classic fair food. Don't miss the opening night fireworks display—a local favorite!

• The Magnolia Run: Lace up your sneakers for the 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run on Saturday morning. It’s a great way to see downtown Durant while working off those carnival treats.

• Art & Shopping: With over 150 vendor booths, you can shop for everything from handcrafted jewelry to unique home decor.

• Culture & Heritage: Experience the rich history of the Choctaw Nation through live demonstrations, stickball games, and social dancing at the Choctaw Cultural Center.

• Entertainment: From live music on the main stage to the adrenaline-pumping PRCA Rodeo at the Durant Riding Club Arena, there is never a dull moment.
