Mark your calendars! The 17th Annual Colton’s Main Street Run returns on Saturday, October 17, 2026, bringing runners, walkers, families, and supporters to Market Square in downtown Durant.

This annual event honors the memory of Colton Sherrill—a 10-year-old athlete and passionate Durant Main Street volunteer who tragically passed away in 2008 from an undetected heart defect. What began as a tribute has blossomed into a powerful community movement. Proceeds directly fund life-saving CPR and AED training, emergency equipment for local schools, higher education scholarships, and downtown revitalization projects.

Event Schedule & Weekend Highlights

• Friday, October 16, 2026 (Early Packet Pickup & Professional Shoe Fitting):

  • 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM: Early Packet Pickup at Market Square (2nd & Main, Durant, OK). Local residents within a 30-mile radius are asked to pick up shirts during early pickup or on race morning. (Shirts will be mailed to participants outside the 30-mile radius and out-of-state runners).

  • 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM: OK Runner staff from Norman will be set up at Market Square to provide professional running shoe fittings.

• Saturday, October 17, 2026 (Live Race Day):

  • 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM: Race Day Registration & Packet Pickup at Market Square (2nd & Main).

  • 8:15 AM: Fun Run Begins.

  • 8:45 AM: Opening Ceremony.

  • 9:00 AM: 10K & 5K Start.

  • Post-Race: Awards presentation, live music, Main Street Muffins, and fresh breakfast burritos!

• Virtual Event Option (October 17 – October 25, 2026): Can’t make it to Market Square? Participate virtually from anywhere on a treadmill, stroll with a stroller, or hike your favorite trail. Virtual registrants receive a long-sleeve Colton's Run t-shirt, a Digital Bib, and a Finisher Certificate.

Race Routes & Course Highlights

• 5K Course: Takes participants past the historic Bryan County Courthouse, through the magnolia-lined campus of Southeastern Oklahoma State University, and back to Market Square.

• 10K Course: Follows the 5K route and extends past the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma and the historic former headquarters of the Choctaw Nation before returning to Market Square.

• Time: Packet pickup at 7:00 AM | Fun Run at 8:15 AM | 5K & 10K at 9:00 AM CDT
